~ Life and Love
In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon speaks of life and its works, and concludes; everything that he did within his lifetime that was of this world; was void of purpose and meaning. But all that he did in which was for an eternal reason: had purpose.
In the following book, Song of Solomon, Solomon describes when he met his greatest love, who was a Shulamite. In this story, Solomon was simultaneously prophesying of the eternal love of Jesus: first coming as a Shepherd, and then as the King of Kings.
~ The Shepherd and the King
King Solomon had disguised himself and traveled as a Shepherd to find true love ~ to love and to be loved for who he was. Solomon, moved by the beautiful Shulamite woman and her beautiful romantic words of love…unleashed his own endearing heartfelt poetic gestures ~ that cascaded into a volley of love.
In humility, finding love, Solomon then disclosed to the Shulamite woman that he was, in fact, King Solomon.
He told her at one point, that he had to leave, and he promised that he would return as the King and marry her.
When King Solomon had humbled himself and presented himself as to the truth of who he really was as a person: he experienced the greatest love of his life.
