Sins of lust causing affliction and spiritual unease include varying pride, the flesh, envy, greed, and striving. Scripture reveals: purposely, even slightly embracing the worldly lies of lust instead of having sincerity with Jesus; lacks faithfulness to God and is spiritually destructive.
Common issues that instigate someone to seek outlets of lust are relationship problems, issues of love including a broken heart, not feeling deeply cared for or loved, a childhood abuse or tragedy, sudden life occurrences, changes, trauma, letdowns and stress. Working hard in prayers of self-examination; the Holy Spirit can enlighten to the root issues leading to thoughts of lust that sway the soul from the magnitude, beauty, comfort and peace of God’s Holy Spirit.
God guides His children to not emotionally beat on themselves for recurring sins that they cannot seem to stop. God suffers for His children’s sufferings, and is full of tender loving kindness, mercy, forgiveness, and wise help; even offering prayer for specifics.
Embracing a doctrine of mature discipline includes calling out with faith to “JESUS” for help at the initial thought of lust…to immediately and confidently pray away a thought of lust ‘at its conception.’ Rebuking lust, is time used for a greater yield and purpose to life.
Wisdom embraces being spiritually open to receiving and using a fulfillment of blessings that God’s Spirit is trying to give. This includes to be a reliable Spiritual vessel of Godly love, wisdom and guidance; helping family and friends to initially come to, and grow closer in an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2nd Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all them who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
