One of the desires of Jesus was to sacrifice Himself on a cross to pay the price for our sins against Him – a love passing all understanding! We can reciprocate Jesus’ love by many means. This includes to make the same effort when we pray and ask Jesus for our desires, to also ask Jesus what His desires are from us!
Jesus is always helping us whether we are aware of it or not. At times, Jesus has us completing the tasks from a current season, while also becoming qualified for the next season. Instead of a longer and harder path to get to the same point, we can pray – sensing our spirit to God’s Holy Spirit – and in our thoughts simply ask Jesus what He specifically wants us to do to move on to the next season.
Before moving forward, besides conducting certain works, God might want to build more Christ-like character within a child of His. Our Lord regularly sifts human pride, envy, lusts, greed, and arrogance, etc., and replaces it with righteous truth, humility, wisdom, honor, virtue, and love, and God might yield enlightenment for why to pray more.
The beginning of a path from Jesus might not reveal any clue to its end results. The desires that we prayed for, could begin in a way that does not appear that it will lead to what we asked for. But Jesus is Holy and has ‘end results’ figured in ways greater than what a child of God could do. This includes a path being infused with what someone might additionally desire ‘and need’ in years to come! Therefore, a child of God might not realize that they have been presented with ‘the’ path that leads them – to not only their desires being fulfilled – but much more for them, their loved ones, and Jesus’ desires for God’s Glory!
All things come through Holiness, beyond the grasp of a human mind, and God is Sovereign, not answering to anyone. Therefore, 100%, absolute obedience and trust in God’s living Holy Spirit is needed to fully realize one’s own desires and greatest
potential.
Whatever your greatest desires are at any given moment, are just the best desires that you know of at a given moment. But enlightenment from Jesus of His desires for you, can have you embrace new desires that no human could dream of!
Jesus’ desires include for us to live on a divine Holy path for our benefit and for God’s Glory, and that will residually benefit our loved ones and others! If a child of God ever wants to have ‘the chance’ at the greatest possible achievements and successes, have ‘hope’ for feeling the deepest sensations of joy, peace, and love possible, and to live life for lasting purposes and fulfillment past human capacity, this can only happen by going into ‘unknowns’ through Holy Jesus – praying, trusting, and obedient to God’s living Holy Spirit!
“Jesus, all that I have is a gift from your love. Feel my love for you, I ask, tell me your desires, to be my desires! Amen.”
