God’s Word offers wisdom in how to guide an unsaved person to eternal life through beginning an eternal relationship with Jesus.
Three primary roles for a child of God to bring someone to Jesus are:
- Prayers of faith with a reliance on God.
- Counsel of the Word from the Bible directly, or in layman’s terms.
- Testifying of Jesus from the Bible, or personal testimonies of Jesus, as to why they, the witness, are with Jesus.
The Holy Spirit’s role for salvation includes: testifying within the soul of an unsaved child of God, that Jesus is the Christ and Savior.
The Word reveals that ‘no one,’ knows Jesus, but by the testimony of the Holy Spirit.
1st Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus revealed in John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me.
In a time-based world, there are limited opportunities to guide an unsaved loved one, friend or stranger to salvation. Being successful or not, in an attempt to lead an unsaved loved one to Jesus on the spot; has only one message to give that won’t yield regrets; the message of Jesus and the cross.
Without Jesus and the cross, life ends.
In a finite and troubling world, people want hope. Hope is ONLY in an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ. The extended message of Jesus and the cross, explained to an unsaved loved one, can be simply told…
…All have sinned.
…Jesus is the Savior who atoned for sins on the cross.
…God offers sinners to make a decision; to repent, and accept Jesus as their friend and Savior.
…Jesus was resurrected to Heaven, confessing to the Father, the sinners who repent and accept Him as their Savior, “This is one of mine.”
Romans 13:10 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Life is very short. The entire Bible leads to and addresses extending this life into eternal life. The greatest blessing that someone could experience in a day is to receive Jesus, or to lead another person to Jesus to have eternal life.
In a moment of faith and a decision of the heart, someone can call out to the Lord and repent their sins and accept Jesus as their Savior…to begin an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Jesus said in John 5:39 Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: And they are they which testify of me.
John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes unto the Father, but by me.
1st Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body, on a tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
Luke 23:42-43 (On crosses) And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comes into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shall thou be with me in paradise.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
